In a heartwarming show of solidarity, volunteers gathered at SHAP' s unit and have wrapped up a generous gift-giving effort, sending a total of nine pallets filled with presents for children in Ukraine. Volunteers worked tirelessly during two days to wrap the gifts, ensuring they were ready to be sent to the children who have been affected by the ongoing war.
The presents, which range from toys to educational supplies, will bring much-needed joy and hope to young Ukrainians during this challenging time. SHAP’s initiative has been met with overwhelming support from the local community, with many coming together to contribute to the cause. The organization’s efforts serve as a reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of supporting those in need, especially during the holiday season.
This effort was part of a larger initiative led by The Plant and Hire Aid Alliance, which organized a nationwide "wrapathon" across Swindon, Bath, and Ipswich. Collectively, volunteers wrapped an impressive 25,000 Christmas presents to be delivered to children in Ukraine. Over the three years since the event began, about 45,000 gifts have been sent, providing comfort and joy to families in need.
Thanks for everyone who supported this amazing initiative!
