Dear friends It is with such a heavy heart that we are having to bring you the news that our dedicated and passionate Chairman, Mike Bowden, has sadly passed away after suffering for several months with a draining debilitating illness.
Our thoughts are with Sarah & family at this very sad time. We realise this may come as a huge shock to you - let us all take strength from each other and continue with the vital work that Mike dedicated himself to in the last 3 years. RIP our dear friend...
Supporting Ukraine, Ukrainians and Others in Need
The Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership (SHAP) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that was formed in the days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Our board is made up of British and Ukrainian nationals and with a dedicated team of volunteers we remain determined to support Ukraine and Ukrainians to the best of our ability. We pride ourselves with our Candles for Ukraine, Buses for Ukraine and Aid for Ukraine initiatives with the aim to lessen the hardship in Ukraine as best we can. We are forever grateful for any and all donations we receive. These donations go directly towards our cause - whether that be funding a lorry to transport vast quantities of aid, buying vehicles such as vans or pick-up trucks to donate to Ukraine, or for our bus transformations.
